Monday

Jonny's officemate Beverly is working in a different office. So it is quite dead in there. Jonny just cleaned the bathroom. He didn't ride his bike to work today. That is because he took Lorraine to the first day of art camp. Angelina took Jesse to his ultrasound. Zsa Zsa accompanied her. Angelina paid her back buying her a cup of coffee. Wendell told Alberta she could go to his beach house on Labor Day weekend. And Angelina said fine but first she has to clean her room. Yesterday Jesse and Jonny went for a bike ride. They went about 5 miles with the trailer bike. Jonny has been begging for that hitch for 8 months. Now they have it and it hasn't been used once. They will use it for the their up north vacation to Boyne. Jonny hasn't been reading much. His last book was Critical Care. It was kinda gross. Before that was Exodus and he didn't finish it. Jonny reserved it from the library. He also can get $7.99 off a book at Nicola's bookstore if he so chooses to do that. They send that coupon once a summer as a birthday present. Jonny has redeemed two books that way so far. Over the weekend he watched some TV. He and his wife watched several Criminal Minds episodes. They are so graphic, sometimes they have to fast forward past the gross parts. This week the parsha is Ki Sese.

Wednesday

Jonny took a pre-lunch nap. At this moment his officemate has gone off to a meeting. He is busy trying to get his ASP.NET program to go up a level. Everything else in his work an personal life is in turmoil. Last night Angelina was tired so she retired early. Of course Jonny used the opportunity to relax and stay up late. He did work on school work last night so the break was deserved. He is getting sleepy just now thinking of it. Jonny was awakened at noon to Angelina's cell phone call. She got the Black Nissan Altima out of bondage for a mere $882. Jonny was afraid last night that his favorite Scrubs episode would be erased soon. This was justified because AT&T U-verse said it was about to be erased. So he watched SNL which was in the same situation. He stopped at 11 and didn't finish. He did do stretching, hand weights and situps at the first act. Then he realized it was the song Tick Tock. After that he turned off the TV. So he is three days in a row of doing stretching, hand weights and situps while watching TV. That is impressive. After work he had part 2 of the 6 part bud-lite lime outrageously priced $7.99 beer. The family prepared hamburgers on the gas grill. Jonny listened to the parsha today. Jesse had his appointment and everything is fine. He needs to up his miralax. Angelina lowered it and his system got all backed up.

Jonny listened to the parsha of Bechukotai and then listened for the second time this week to the parsha of Behar. His program is giving him fits so he turned it off at the halfway point. He learned that some people repent on Yom Kippur and then commit the same sin later in the year. There are 5 places where Yacov is written with a vov. Safer Vayigrash is it's own book. Some people have that theory.

Jonny is on page 278 of To Say Nohing of The Dog, and on page 169 of No Man's Dog.

The network people are bugging him for a .NET solution to their forms based authentication problem of sharepoint. Jonny has no idea how to do that. He has a plan to get them to do it and to stop bugging him to do something that only they know how to do.

too tired Tuesday

Jonny was too tired to blog today. So he took a nap instead. He should be using twitter but he forgot his password. Angelina is bringing him down. They watched the Cold Case season finale last night together. She is complaining about the lack of health insurance coverage. They have coverage but not for a well visit lab test. The cost will be $275. Also sick things costing money is going to be the cost of fixing Jonny's car. It needs a whole bunch of work. Angelina got a loaner car.

Jonny has to start working on the new semester already.

He is up to page 276 of To Say Nothing of the Dog. He is up to page 134 of No Man's Dog.

Angelina is going to get Jesse an x-ray for his stomach. He is full of shit. But it is better to verify that then to not know.

Mood is a good one

For Jonny the mood was a good one. He was happy and jolly on the bus and in the lunch room. Then boom the after lunch coffee and the after lunch lulls. He feels kinda groggy now because he had what Angelina calls "her 20 minutes". Jonny woke up around 1:45. He got right back into programming ASP.NET. He hasn't done anything else today. No other data entry tasks. He has no plans to go to Red Hawk. Jonny went there on Friday and had two Great Lakes beers. Jonny also went there on Tuesday. But right about now he is running out of money. Today it was too cold in the morning to ride a bike to work. So he took the 8:17 #14 bus, which gets him late to work. Lorraine picked him out a new book. The book is called To Say Nothing of The Dog. And Jonny is on page 40. Cell phone. It was Angelina of course. She was calling to complain about her students. Over the weekend Jonny froze at Alberta's soccer game. Also over the weekend Jonny talked to Wendell. But Jesse got him off the phone before Wendell could wine too much about the beach or the Shenandoah. Tonight is a concert at Jesse's school. Again this week is a double parsha. So Jonny listened to Acharei. He didn't really pay that close attention. OK if Jonny were trying to hit more tags... Over the weekend Lucy the dog had a blow out. It smelled so bad so yep, he pulled out the cherry flavored scented candle. He played with that most of the morning. Today Jesse has a doctor visit at 3:20. This visit is for his hand. About two weeks ago, Jonny and Jesse were wood working. Has the splinter ever come out? During the week Angelina bought some lox, because she was in the mood for it. Even thought Jonny has been programming hard:

Tuesday

Angelina called Lyman to come over and help Jonny with his shelf again. Actually they needed him to pick up Annabella and to look at some electric work. In payment, one of the new beers that Angelina bought for Jonny was drunk. Jonny had the plum brandy instead because it was still Passover. And Jews can't drink beer on Passover.

Angelina called earlier and she was upset about her class she is teaching. She also said that she was taking Jesse to the eye doctor. This was a regular check up.

Wednesday

Outside of the Hilton Hotel, Jonny's window, there are men cleaning it. Oh no an email from Lea. Hold on. She is working on the Machine Log. Jonny is happy about that. So that means he needs to update his plan view hours to indicate that sometimes he doesn't actually work on VSAFE 8 hours a day. Jonny really sleeps 8 hours a day but that is a separate issue.

In today's chumash Jonny learned why the parsha of Mikeitz is always read during Chanukah. The story of Joseph's brothers selling Joseph into slavery. Then later on Joseph isn't angry and the brothers aren't remorseful. It is a victory for the believers over the non-believers. This means that during the time of the Greeks the Torah was translated into Greek. In other parts of the parsha Paro doesn't tell Jospeh all of the dream. Yet Yosef figures it out. This is what really made Pharaoh believe in Yosef. There are many midrash in the parsha that can easily be recalled. Some people believe that Dina was the grandmother of Yosef's wife. Osnat was Yosef's MIL. And Osnat was really Dina's daughter. Dina went to Egypt and took with her a rare gem from Yacov. Oh another email from Lea. Lea and Jonny are thinking about making three different database all in agreement on DOB. What a novel concept.

Jesse, Jonny and Angelina went to Hotel California today for a pediatric urological follow-up visit. The doctor pronouced him as fine. He will take over Jesse's long term follow-up. Angelina is gradually letting the duration increase between visits. These visits are killing her and she knows it. The last appointment was in May. So this time they agreed to wait 8 more months. Afterwards Jesse got Angelina to agree to let him walk over to the Hilton Hotel. Another email from Lea. They stopped at Einstein brothers and got bagels. Well Jonny is going back to work now.

Tuesday

Jonny had a meeting at Death Valley this morning. Now he is sweating to death in his office. Branden decided that it was cold in the hallway. Jonny is on page 264 of The Eight. Yesterday he listened to parsha. Last week he listened to last week's parsha. Jonny just got off the phone with Angelina. She was yelling at him. Alberta has a basketball game today. Her team is in the championship. The question of last week's parsha is did Yosef comitt Loshan Hora against his brothers? Did Yosef want to push them away? Rueben is the first person to do Chuva. Yehuda slept with the hooker because it threw off the trail of the devil. The angels knew this and told him to do this. The Baker hated the Butler. Jonny watered his plants. He noticed that he is gaining too much weight. Jesse had a very long appointment. But everything is cool. There are no problems. Jonny is back from talking to Penny to see if she has any work for him. Rob wasn't in his office. Jonny wants to leave now and go the basketball game but Angelina said no. Jonny walked up and down the stairs. For lunch he had a frozen buritto. Then Angelina drove him to work. He logged into VSAFE and modifed records. Shortly after that he fell asleep. Then his officemate walked in. The sound of the key in the lock woke him up.

weekend activities

Today Jonny had a meeting at Death Valley. So he go to the meeting at 10 AM when it starts. He drove there. Then he drove home. At noon he had lunch. Jonny was greeted at the door by Lorraine. Jonny rode his bike to work at 12:30.

There are two bar/bat mitzvahs this weekend. Sam Douglass's bar mitzvah is Saturday and the party is at night. Sunday there is another party for another girl that is the same age as Alberta. As you will recall dear blog readers that Alberta, had her bat mitzvah celebration in June of 2008, a little earlier than her classmates.

Also Lorraine is having a slumber party for her birthday. Of course Annabella Sciorra will be at the sleepover. So Angelina is stressed about all the logistics of the upcoming weekend. \

Jonny is up to page 400 of Passage. He also started a book on CD that Lorraine got at the library. Jesse meets with his teacher there. So to entertain the kids, they get to browse the shelves.

Jesse couldn't sleep so he came into Jonny's bed. He slept between Angelina and Jesse. At around 7 AM, Jonny got up and went into Jesse's bed. At around 8:15 the adults got up. Lucy was let out earlier by Lorraine. But Lucy still wet her dog bed. Ahh Jonny was quite sleepy at around 2 PM, but now that he has blogged this off his chest he feels more awake.

Wednesday

Today Jonny is back at work. He did some survey monkey work. He also did some ASP.NET with VB and with C#. Now he is listening to breakfast at tiffany's. All of a sudden the music stopped. Last night Jonny watched a couple of Scrubs episodes, that he saw already. Ah the music came back on. He listened to Torah Gems again. This was the parsha for Korach. The second half of the lecture was this long drawn out chassidic story. Right now Buddy is talking on his cell phone in Spanish. So Jonny cut the music. Most of the lecture he missed because he was out to lunch. Lea is as usual acting strange. Jonny talked to Rob, and Rob said find out what your mentor is working on and get up to speed, Rob said so. Jonny's computer connections to the networks is all messed up. Fortunately he can still remote desktop to his computer over at Hollywood and get connected to all the databases. Here in the Hilton, his computer programs aren't installed correctly that access the database. One is called Infomaker. The other is called Dbartisan. Neither one works right. Jonny popped a blood vessel. So he has been wearing glasses instead of contact lenses. His mother Kristina is giving him a guilt trip about Angelina not wanting to spend time with her. Yesterday Jesse went to a GI (Gastro Intestinal doctor). No word yet on what results came out. The output hasn't been good, ha ha what a stinky joke. it is majorlly hot in Michigan.

One more

Yes one more post in the same day.

Jonny finished a book. One Man Running. It was 346 pages. The book wasn't that satisfying. Off to read the reviews, while drinking coffee. Then brush, floss, nap and off to the cancer center.

Also, no one else noticed. Jonny says this a lot to his class when he makes a mistake. He didn't close the underline tag in the curve post, so it made everything after the underline tag, underlined for three blog entries. It will be fixed by the time you read this.

Curve

Angelina took Jesse to his appointment yesterday. They didn't go to Hotel California. Instead they went to the competition. The competition is some other hotel with saints and nuns. There the doctor claims that Jesse's spinal condition is worsening. He really wants the little boy to get an MRI. Angelina has indicated that this request would entail general anesthesia. This is something that Angelina is vehomonetly opposed to. The whole day was quite draining for her. They claim he went from a 18 degree curve in his back to a 28 degree curve. They say it is a 10 degree worsening. Also the feeling has made Jonny quite tired. He just slept here at work on the floor while Buddy worked in the next cube.

Hope you are feeling ok. Jonny is doing great, a little sleepy. He had to shave, floss, and get some coffee. Also he had to send his father a father's day e-card. Jonny is up to page 300 of One Man Running and page 100 of Active Server Pages for Dummies. Last night he watched no TV. Just did school work. Today is the first night of class. He has Penny's staff meeting today from 1 to 3 pm.

Did you hear that Mr Pita is giving away lunch today from 11 to 1 PM? There is one in Plymouth. Go down plymouth road to Ann Arbor Street and near main street in down town plymouth is where it is. Hey what's wrong with a free lunch Jonny always says. Did you see Jonny's email address is pittsfield_cleaners at yahoo dot com? He didn't even drink any beer last night. He has got a few left. He always puts one in the refridgerator and then takes one out. So there is always only one cold one in there. After a second beer Jonnys starts to feel sick.

Maybe now it is time to get some coffee. Or it is almost lunch time.

Wednesday

There is no overiding plot to today's post.

Buddy Ebsen hasn't arrived yet. That is Jonny's new office mate. He doesn't even mind it when Jonny listens to the parsha torah gems. Right now he is listening for the second time this week to Shelach.

Jonny just emailed 10 pictures to Wendell. He did it in three installments. The email chain ended with Wendell's comment, that the girls, Lorraine and Alberta are adorable, but they never talk to us on the phone. Oh well, so much for trying to get rid of guilt. Happy Father's Day to all. Later today Jonny will send and e-card to Wendell. Next he will send an e-card to Angelina, for her anniversary of 18 years of marriage to Jonny.

Last night Jesse was playing Edie Falco's daughter. She doesn't have a name yet. Ugh another character. She is about one or two grades behind Jesse.

Today Jesse has an orthopedic appointment. Everyone wants to keep tabs on the little baby. He has been reading a little bit more lately.

Over the weekend Jonny had a blood pressure of 130 over 74. Pretty good rating.

The brunch

The all star committee decided to buy brunch for the employees. It really messed up Jonny's schedule. Yes Jonny is getting seriously hungry now. He emailed Lea and told her she is missing out on the brunch and that there was 1 more hour to go. He stuffed himself too.

Angelina called for a half an hour prior to the brunch. She wanted to talk about the refinance again.

Then he worked on his read match charges program because of her email explanation that it was not working correctly. He works on it for an hour. His eyes glaze over. He has to sleep do divulge the solution from his subconscious. This always happens. He had to take an 11:30 nap this time. Jonny awoke. The answer was discovered. He has finally fixed the program and then gotten back to the head and neck form that is being created in VASE.

OK back to Chumash. Today Jonny followed his routine and listened to half of Torah Gems the Tetzaveh parsha. The cohen and the cohen gadol wear special garments to represent the different sins that a person could be seeking forgiveness for. They wear a backwards apron, a hat, a breast plate, special knickers. All these are a symbol for some character error the guilty person might have. This is the parsha where Moshe's name isn't mentioned.

Yesterday Jesse had his ultrasound. Zsa Zsa Gabor went with Angelina to hold her hand. This was because her husband had two meetings in Death Valley yesterday.

Jonny was so busy last night he didn't have time to play with his candle.

Over the weekend he walked and talked to his parents. He walked Lucy to the end of the block in 10 degree weather. He now is over the guilt of not talking to them in a month. Wendell went on and on about Jesse talking to him possibly on a web cam in skype. Then he admitted that Kristina didn't really like Skype because they got too much junk email.

Jonny is up to page 126 of Peony and he is up to page 309 of Man Without A Face. He talked to Leslie Cook about the book yesterday.

Monday he picked up Lorraine at the temple. He parked at the temple and went to work on the bus. After work the bus left him off at the temple. It was time to pick her up from religious school. Alberta doesn't go Monday's and Jesse is too young for Monday's. Leslie's husband David L Crowley was there too, helping to place books on the shelves. She is the temple librarian. Her young son was there because he was too young for religious school. Jonny gets them mixed up so he will report back which is the younger one: Michael Cassidy or David Byrd. He made a notation in the spreadsheet just now.

Leslie asked Jonny if he would do the library newsletter. Jonny said nothing. Now she wants to put Jonny's 4 sentence book review of Zipporah onto a website. She seems to have forgotten he wanted that to be anonymous if was on the internet. Name is fine if it is in a newsletter. Also she said maybe Peony isn't the book for you.

Jonny finally broke the ice with Penny. Yesterday as Penny was leaving Jonny told her that he noticed her hair had changed. Women like it when you notice their hair has changed. She said yes the blonde is gone and so is the white. But she called it gray.

Last night Jonny and Angelina watched an episode of cold case.

Jonny is still considering bringing in the old diary. If he does it will have to be edited. Of course no one know that anyway. In addition, he will use the real dates, add the fake names, censor out some stuff, use code words for certain acts and add a link. Jonny doesn't like using links in his blog. In this case he will link to the old blog entry. He will add a label, like early blog or something and a link to the new entry. Sounds like a lot of work. Finally the old diary is about 3 inches wide so Jonny used different color ink to separate the entry. Like he used green ink then blue ink, red ink, black ink. But how to do that in html?

Monday

Another Monday. Jonny just woke up. He was dozing here in Hotel California. Today he felt like trying out oracle self test practice. He got 13 out of 15. Over the weekend Jonny took Alberta to a Bat Mitzvah. It was another girl in her Hebrew Day School class that went from K-5. Something odd happened. On the way Jonny asked. "Are we sitting together?"

Alberta replied "no".

"where should I sit?"

"with Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband".

But when they got there Zsa Zsa was no where to be found. Neither was her husband, her son Patrick Cranshaw, or her daughter Lisa Haley. Lisa is the same age as Lorraine Bracco, but she goes to the Hebrew Day School. So Jonny ran over to Alberta. "where should I sit?"

"With anyone you know."

He looked around, but for some reason didn't see his old neighbors: Bill Maul, Jennefier Badger, Margo Winkler, or William De Meo. Margo is one year older than Lorraine and goes to the elementary school that Angelina didn't want her kids to go to an that is why they moved. William is a year older than Jesse. So Jonny did see Cloris Leachman. She has several children and a husband, none of which were there. The daughter looks like the actress in Scary Movie 2, but is only a grade older than Alberta.

Wow Penny just walked out of her office. She was so quiet, maybe she was sleeping too. She dyed her hair red. It looks so gross. It was white or gray before. She never ever talks to Jonny anymore.

So Jonny asked Cloris if this seat was taken. She said no but she had to Gabie soon. For those who don't know. That means she helps read the Torah. The person assigned to chant the Torah, might make a mistake. Her job is to whisper in the person's ear no say the word this way. A thankless job, similar to Jonny's programming.

Later on it is revealed to Jonny why he didn't see Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband or her or the rest of her family. The reason is so obvious. As late as Jonny and Alberta were around 10 AM. The other family was even later. Jonny looked up and saw them walk in. Now Patrick is a full head taller than Alberta. Alberta leaned up to his cheek and what appeared to kiss him. Cloris was like wow did you see that. Jonny was like yeah that was amazing. Really though she was whispering in his ear hey the alumni members of the Hebrew Day School have to come up and lead the "oshray". For those of you who don't know that is a prayer. The first word of the prayer is "oshray". So not spread Loshen Hora, but Jonny did have to tell Angelina about this. So at dinner, the whole family was laughing and teasing Alberta about the "kiss".

Jonny has to take a break now.

Amazing Jonny took a bathroom break an no emails. They always seem to arrive when he is off at the bathroom. He did get a chance to read a little in the bathroom. Jonny is up to page 114 of Peony and he is up to page 309 of Man Without A Face.

Jonny has gotta go get a drink of water.

Penny is probably not back from wherever she went. After Jonny got water he went to check on Dabney Coleman. Dabney is a data clerk and works four ten hour days. Penny is his boss. She complains that he calls in sick a lot. Today seems to be no exception. Her staff complain she doesn't send emails "hey so and so is sick today. Phone call. It was the cancer center. Jonny thought he heard noises in the office behind him. Just when he was vigorously typing about Penny. Now it is quiet again. When does she do back in there?

Earlier today Jonny froze to death. Then he went to Death Valley. This was for some meetings that were planned in advance. They were a waste of time. Jesse had his meeting with his urologist today. So Angelina has been anxious about that all day, for days now. The two of them have been over eating. They watched an episode of Cold Case. In the meantime Jonny was playing with his candle. She got up early and actually let Jonny sleep in a bit. Suddenly Alberta felt too sick to go to school. They had a week long break. The plan was for Jonny to drive Lorraine to school and then go to his meeting. But Alberta recovered. She was dropped off first at around 8:30. Next Lorraine was dropped off closer to 8:45. Jonny spent several minutes straightening Alberta's hair with a machine. His back was hurting from the old mattress. He arrived in Death Valley closer to 9 AM. So he settled in for a short nap.

The lost pager

Today was a trip all around Hotel California. Jonny lost his pager. Angelina needed to get some bagels from Einstein Brothers. Jesse needed to get a blood draw from the cancer center. Jonny forgot to take the dog biscuits out of his pocket. That always happens when he is really tired. He forgot to take his shoes. He wore boots on the #14 bus today. Then he also forgot his wallet. Which he doesn't normally need, but it was required for buying bagels. Angelina needed some copies made. So did Jesse. Jonny made the copies. They met him at the Cancer Center. It is a short cold walk there from Radiation Oncology. That is Jonny's part of the Hotel California. Jesse showed up with his laptop. It is the family laptop. They have wireless in there now. Jonny gave Angelina the dog biscuits. Then he gave her the folder with the copies in it. She gave him the wallet and the shoes. He went up the elevator and to the bagel place. That is probably where he lost the pager as he past the Cardio Vascular Center also known as the CVC. Next the walked about 1/2 a mile to the bagel place and back. Then back down the elevator. Then Jonny helped Jesse connect the laptop on the wireless network. He gave Angelina the bagels. Next he helped carry them to the car. That is where he thought he lost the pager. But no then he walked in the cold back to his office. She past him on the way and honked the horn. Next he went into his office. He sat down and said shoot the pager isn't here. So next he went up 98 steps to the bagel place. Next past CVC and down the elevator to Cancer. They didn't have it. So he went to the valet. He went to the parking lot. But he didn't bring his coat so he went back inside. Then Jonny went up the elevator and down the long hall back to the cafeteria area, another 1/2 mile. Next down the 98 steps. On the way he called Angelina. Next he paged the pager. Then he went back outside to retrace his steps. He found a parking attendant in another shipping and receiving parking lot on the way. So he asked that guy. That guy said he would call the lost and found. Then Jonny told him what he thought the pager number was. He was close enough. The problem was he said the pager was in "security information CVC". So Jonny got really confused. Bottom line. He went back inside to his office. Next he went up the 98 steps. Then to CVC down the long hallway. Next he walked around the CVC completely. He ran into some lady from ACHO IT department. This woman always says oh you look familiar. She told Jonny how to get to the third floor of the CVC. There a man called the security office of the hospital. That man transferred them to the lost and found. The item was in the lost in found. Jonny went back down two floors to the main floor of the hospital. Next he went down the long hallway and down another flight of stairs. There at the main part of the hospital was a doorway to another hallway to security. They had the pager.

Blood Pressure

Jonny is up to page 285 of Man Without A Face and page 92 of Peony. Yesterday he finished listening to the Torah Gems for the Teruma parsha. Lots of miracles. The miracle of Jonny spelling the word miracle correctly. Last night he checked his BP. It was down to 140 over 80. Angelina and Jonny were fighting over the painting of Alberta's room last night. Jonny doesn't get to win arguments. Today she went back to Ace Hardware store. She returned the wrong size drain plug. Yeah that is $2 in Jonny's pocket. A very minor victory. It allowed her the opportunity to buy tools to finish the already finished painting job. She says the two toned paint job needs a little fine tuning. Seems without seeing first hand that she bought turpentine, a small brush and an edging tool. Also she worked on setting the AT&T U-Verse PIN code for the TV. This was so Alberta couldn't get into it. She suddenly remembered the code today while on with tech support for the third day in a row. Jesse has his tests next week. Lorraine is enjoying a sewing class with Lisa Haley. Lisa is the brother of Patrick Cranshaw. These are recurring character's in the Miller family life. Yesterday Angelina kidnapped Jonny from work and they met with their mortgaged broker of Money Source for over an hour. How boring. Last night around 9:30 Jonny called Good Time Charlys. They answered the phone. They confirmed they didn't go out of business and they are a smoke free bar. This is about 1.33 miles away from Jonny's house. Apparently if the reviews are to believed they have killer 21 year old super shot slamming vomit inducing birthday parties. They have 23 ounce long island ice tea drinks. OK back to XML style sheets and form customization in VASE. Lea made a surprise visit to work at Hollywood on the same day as Jonny. At this point in the day Jonny can barely put together a few sentences. His brain just comes to a dead stop. So to kick start it he put together a google map picture.

Above is the picture of the area where Jonny dropped of Angelina for work yesterday. The white building in the distance is where she was working. Of note is the one block street named after a Democrat. Based on Jonny's interpretation of the book Presidential Courage's interpretation this famous president wasn't actually responsible for the Voting Right Act and other Civil Rights issues. He was resistant, and ungrateful for the work that Martin Luther King did for him in getting elected. JFK died a martyr for the cause that he is most remembered for.

Speaking of King, Jonny is up to page 150 of the book about Stephen King's book. He listened to Torah Gems, bereshit and lech lecha today.

Angelina called as always happens. She broke her cell phone and took Alberta's. She is on her way to Jesse's school conference. As predicted by Jonny she is now complaining that the school is overzealous in their pursuit of Jesse's education. He is admittedly no farther along than his sisters were when they were in 1st grade. Can you blame the No Child Left Behind Act for this one?

Jonny feels the election of Obama will help the economy. And here is why. Before that is explained, imagine this, even conservative Angelina voted for him. She also voted for both state proposals and the WCC millage. (That was the tax that wasn't really a tax its proponents state). Obama will do three things to the economy, but overall it is the psychological effect that will help the most. 1) tax breaks to those poorer than Joe the Plumber who makes over $300K per year. 2) restrict foreign trade to keep jobs from going overseas 3) improve the health care system. Guaranteed, 100% McCain would not have done these things.

Jonny is working on sybase and informaker. It is a real pain. It keeps crashing. The good news is there is sql you get to edit.

Finished Shadow of the Hegemon. It prompted a huge diversion of internet reading. The book was excellent. It was 451 pages, which is partly a 10 page afterword. It is more a historical fiction book. More like futuristic historical fiction. More about China taking over the world. It turns out Orson Scott Card is a fantastic writer. He writes books about the women of the bible as well. What is more interesting is that torah scholars claim Rebekkah was 3 years old when she was married. So where is that in the story? Also why not write a book about eve and noah's wife? Anyway Orson Scott Card has 3 more follow on books in the Shadow series. This weekend plans include a fun day at Burns Park. This is a kinda fund raiser. Lorraine's previous softball coach is afflicted with a disease and this is a benefit for that cause. Also he was written up in a newspaper article. To Jonny he looks pretty healthy. But then again Jesse has always looked health despite all his frequent utilization of the health care system. Alberta needs to decide what to do about the summer very soon. Camp is expensive. Watched SNL skits last night and they were really funny. McCain with his imaginary friend Joe the Plumber and Simon who sleeps in a cigar box under his bed. And then Obama apologizing to the imaginary friend in the SNL skit debate.

Not much

Jonny did not much today. He was at Hollywood for 2 hours and then went home. He did some work for Penny, some work for Lea, faxed some paper for Angelina, sold some Sally Foster, checked school email, did some school work, called my it lab customer support. And then he went home. At home he let out Lucy the dog. In the meantime, he ran to the bathroom. Then he called Ann Arbor Recycle. Why? Because they left his recycling. Today they decided not to take it away. Jonny put in some #2 plastic bags. But that wasn't the problem. In their zeal they left it all. They took the compost, the garbage and the cardboard. But the green bin with the wine bottle, vodka bottle and other #2 plastic was untouched. They also didn't take the loan battery. It is looking dismal for the recycling prospects of that battery. If Angelina gets her hands on it, it will be garbage bound. She really hates it when recycling is separated from the mother garbage and then rejected and held over for the next weekend. Jonny might have been the one to pitch the loan spent tripple aaa battery. They left a short pink piece of paper indicating #2 plastic is only taken or #1 plastic if it is a bottle, like shampoo, wine, vodka, salad dressing. So Jonny called. They don't take strawberry containers. But they have been for the last 2 months. The lady on the phone had no idea why. But today the routes got all switched around.

Over the weekend Jonny did painting. Angelina worked at the flu clinic. Jonny had to yell at Alberta, since he had to be the mom. Jonny sat and watched his computer boot up for 5 minutes. Then he worked for 5 minutes, while Lucy the dog chomped and munched cat food at 10 PM. While Alberta, didn't empty the dishwasher, but did watch TV. He went up there tore the dog away from the now empty cat food. Put her outside. And then screamed at Alberta. She jumped up and turned off the TV all by herself. Wow Jonny you are now graduated to first class screamer. Angelina and Thomas on the phone in Pennsylvania heard it all the way upstairs.

Jonny managed to squeeze in a call to Kristina and Wendell. Perhaps Jonny should create some more labels. He added painting. Although this has nothing to do with cancer, Jesse isn't doing so well in school. Tuesday Angelina will get the low down on the 1st grade. Will the situation require a private school. Oh no spare the expense. This might require another label. This will be called working wife. That covers Jonny yelling at the kids, because he has a working wife. That covers Jesse maybe going to a private school because he has a working wife. Angelina is at another flu clinic today.

Monday

Over the weekend Angelina invited her two new 2nd year medical students for dinner. She of course complained later that the kids were up too late. In case it isn't clear, Angelina is no teacher. This is part of the Family Centered Practice of Medicine program. They are there to meet Jesse. Alberta was on the computer the entire day. Jonny sent her an email he got from his parents about the St John trip. They requested Angelina write to them by October 1. She won't. She is waiting to see if the orthopedic guy will let Alberta go with out physical therapy for a few weeks, while on vacation in December. Meanwhile, she only wants Alberta to go for one week not both of her two weeks of vacation. Wendell needs to make the plans. Kristina is always angry that Jonny can't make those decision. He isn't allowed.

Jonny finished, 350 pages, Union Prayer book. He has no new book to read. He also has been listening to Louis Armstrong in the car on CD. Books on CD are better but it took 10 weeks to listen to the last one that was only 6 hours long. Jonny has listened to all the Rabbi Small on tape that are available at the library, he thinks. This might have to be verified. Jonny listened to all of 1 minute and 24 seconds of this weeks parsha so far. It starts out "And he went..." Vayelech but where did he go? He meaning Moshe.

Angelina called. She walked home from school this morning. She walks Lorraine and Jesse to school. On the way home she invited a dad and daughter for Tuesday night dinner. Tonight is erev, but Jonny has school. Tomorrow he has off from work and will celebrate the hag simach at services until 1 PM or so. There is only so much child care. And Angelina refuses to pay for it. Angelina as said that the recycling people who take the compost bin that hold 96 gallons of yard refuse succefully took away the 6-8 foot long branches in the compost bin. Jonny has been dragging his feet. He has been cutting the tree branches into 1-2 foot long sections so he can burn them. She wants to throw it all away. Also over the weekend Jonny and Angelina had Jesse's brand new croc fixed, which he broke on the first day. Today it broke in a new spot.

Well Jonny is off to a meeting.
