Monday

Today is another rainy Monday. Jonny worked out in the gym. He is considering making a work out sheet to help keep track. Tonight he finished up the grades. Also he is on page 50 of Isle of Battle and page 370 of TC. This is the parsha of the Day of Attonement. Wednesday there is a Lag Baomer bon fire. Lorraine, Jesse, Angelina and Jonny are going to the Burns Park concert. Elizabeth called she is back from Israel. There is a small leak in the basement. Jonny tried to patch it with crack filler. There is a new RIF queen secretary so no more Excel spreadsheets of the latests postings. Also a new employee started today.Let us call him Ray Liotta. Tomorrow Ricco is going to pick on Jonny to take notes in the meeting. At least Ricco warned him today. Ricco thinks he is so funny. Jonny has to go tuck Angelina into bed. Bye.

Sunday night

It has been a weekend filled with chores mainly. But Jonny found some time to take the pleasures of reading. He is on page 370 of TC. He finished book one of the Swan's War, called The One Kingdom and it was 534 pages. Now Jonny is reading the sequel and is on page 5. Alberta had two soccer games this weekend. Jonny applied for four more UM jobs and sent his thank you letter. He also read some XML. Jonny, Lorraine and Alberta are going to the Burns Park 5K run next weekend. Jonny is almost done with school and will most certainly submit the grades Monday night. He has XML training tomorrow afternoon. Over the weekend he cut the grass, fertilized it, weed whacked it and trimmed the sidewalks. In addition there was a crack that needed filling in the basement and a screen door that was off track. They cooked fish on the grill. Jesse played a lot of Mario Stargazer. Angelina went to the soccer game and the team won. This means she is their good luck charm and Jonny always goes when the lose? Who knows.

Thursday

Jonny still hasn't written his thank you note for his UM MAIS interview. It seems that a couple of former M-CARE IS department employees have gone there. He ran into some UM people at Lucky Kitchen today he brought back a menu to Julia who he shadowed. He emailed Wendy and Laurence asking them to be slackers with him at ABL. Angelina insists on more followup with the RIF queen at UM.  Angelina sold a $2 book and so Jonny had to get rid of all the under $4 books. He got rid of 6 of them. It was the least he could do since she yelled about the RIF queen issue because he said is was a bad idea to follow up with her. Oh well. Gotta wrap this book now. Earlier in the night he called his mother. Jonny could just tell Angelina was ready to fight. Oh well. It is after midnight so Jonny better get to bed. Angelina said Jonny was obsessed with his book selling. They sold the book The Immune Power Personality.

Wednesday

Not much going on tonight. Jonny is drinking some new beer Angelina bought called Stone Pale Ale. Umm good. Today he worked with Brandi Payne. She is a Southern Indian person. Wendy Gazelle emailed and said for the millionth tie she is a Northern Indian person. Julia a between Southern and Northern India person. Several former M-CARE people are now at other parts of the U. Terry Porter's husband, and Jeb Hand Werger and his wife are all at MAIS. So is Kevin Brewerton.

 

Jonny is up to page 367 of TC when he finishes this week's parsha. He is on page 320 of One Kingdom not page 350. He worked out today and was deathly tired all day. While listening to Brandi he was falling asleep after two double teas and a double coffee. No wonder he is wide awake now. Angelina and Jonny have thank you notes to write and later in the week the lawn to fertilize. Unfortunately Jesse just fell asleep around 10 since he took a mega nap today.

Tuesday

Can it really be only Tuesday. This afternoon Jonny gave Olegar about a 45 minute lecture on Judaism. Harvey who sat across the way was listening and not backing up either party so Jonny kept going. Eventually Douglas joined in with his ridiculous comment about kosher meat. These two are Moslems anyway. harvey isn't anything. He lost his girl friend this week to another man so he has been kinda mellow and low. Jonny sat with Gabrielle and oh she is a treat and a half. She is nice looking but not that interesting to hang out with. Because she seems really down on the company. However Sylvestor let on that Gabrielle was demoted from level 2 to level 1. She has the most seniority in the team so Jonny expected her to be bitter. Just it was a bit hard to take when it really was revealed to him. Fisher wrote back about the interview. Jonny received 15 emails on that account today. Most well wishers because of the KECC position not going his way. Jonny tried to explain to the Pakistani about Jacob and the filet mignon story and that is why that vein isn't kosher. Douglass thought kosher meat was fat free except one vein was allowed. So Jonny explained it was only the vein that was from the angel wrestling story that wasn't allowed. Then they took the bible quiz see links and tried it for the lech lech parsha and the noach parsha. Fortunately Jonny had just finished explaining to Olegar that meat was allowed after the flood and that was on the quiz. The web site is www.bible-quiz.co.il Olegar wants an aliyah for the Alberta Bat Mitzvah in Summer of 08. Jonny will be long gone by then. Especially if he heeds Gabrielle and Angelina's advice. Monday

Another Monday and Jonny hasn't written since Thursday. Today was a trying night so now he is unwinding with a&w root beer mixed with wild turkey. Probably another trip to the liquor store on the way to work. Tomorrow Jonny has to keep Olegar off his back for the 12:30 phone interview. Must keep that time slot free. The book One Kingdom is getting interesting. It was until Jonny fell off the treadmill. His water spilled and then he tried to pick it up without stopping the treadmill. Then his knee hurt so he got a cramp from the fall and couldn't do the reverse leg curl weights. Also Jonny missed the exit twice when doing the soccer car pool at 8PM. Earlier of course he picked up Margo and Lorraine. Also tonight he was researching Olegar's many Jewish questions that Jonny wasn't sure about. For example the tzitzit. Alberta shouted out the spelling Hebrew letter by Hebrew letter while Jonny was two lanes over too far to the left to avoid missing the exit. Then after missing exit 183 and going all the way to exit 185 to turn around he missed exit 183 again and turned around at exit 181 and turned around again. Angelina had their real estate agent over to sign papers last night. They are looking at price to sell 205.

 

Notes from the Franklin. Olegar doesn't know what to do with Jonny. Jesse and Jonny went to Greenfield Village over the weekend to see Thomas the Tank engine. A friend of Alberta's dad got laid off from ABNAMRO last week. Took lots of stuff to storage. Jonny moved a recliner - nice place to recline in a 10 by 10 filled to the roof with boxes. Jonny called his parents Thursday night and again over the weekend. Jesse also called them but Lorraine was screaming too loud and he had to hang up. Jonny got a check and a visit to the doctor for participating in a flu shot study and Jesse came along for the ride. The basement was cleaned. Jonny applied for two HMRC jobs at the U. He sold a book that was new in the shrink wrap and he participated in a 3 1/2 hour web cast on e-commerce.

 

Jonny sent out a message to the group about the phone interview. Fisher wrote back. He interviewed with the guy on April 17.

Thursday

The semester is coming to a close. Yeah. Jonny went to a UM panel meeting. He walked out after finishing his Wendy's chicken filet spicy sandwhich without mayo. The meeting was supposed to go for 1.5 hours. Meanwhile he got an email from a department at UM that wants to do a phone interview. It is for the exact same title Application Programmer/Analyst Intermediate. Today at work Jonny sat with Julia Vera she is probably an India former resident. She has been at this job for a year. Jonny watched and listened to her take some difficult phone calls. There was severity 1 production down. She resolved it calmly cooly in 11 minutes and she is probably 8 months pregnant. Tonight Jonny went for a walk and called his father. His dad is making wheat berry bread. Jonny read some TCP/IP diagnostics at work. Olegar showed Jonny how to make a business process that uses two file adapter processes. All it did was move a file from one area to another. So far everyone is impressed with Jonny's ability to come up to speed. But what if he gets a job at the U. His dad said Jonny better stay with ABL for a year. Angelina wants him to switch to the U.

 

At the meeting today at the U the RIF queen was there and she was blocking the door. Some names from the past were there. Darren Lee and Kristin Moreu. Missing were Wendy Gazelle and Fisher Stevens. So who cares that Jonny stayed for only 25 minutes. He has only 1 hour for lunch. Tomorrow he is working the whole day with Olegar. Well off to sell some books.

Wednesday

Jonny went to the doctor for about just long enough for Olegar to ask "did you get lost". So much for getting in and out in under an hour. Tomorrow Jonny has a meeting at UM and it is scheduled for 1.5 hours. Angelina was nice and changed Jonny's oil. The Nissan Altimat has 70K. Jonny is still reading the TCP/IP chapter on diagnostics. Today he sat with Harvey Keitel (Cop Land). He was supposed to listen to Harvey in ready mode from 12:30 to 3:30. All ready mode shifts last 3 hours. But Jonny spent a lot of time at the doctor's office reading a fantasy book. He is now past page 150. Tonight Jonny polished off one of his six Goose Island Summertime beers. One of these days he'll drink the Summertime brew when it is the right climate. Had difficulty with that last word so must be time to go (climate). The doctor recommended a Rx for Lotrisone. The last Dr said no more Lotrisone because of some guidelines. Lunch was a roast beef sandwhich, breakfast a granola bar and dinner salad with noodles on the side from Hiller's. The salad was left over from the party Sunday with the medical students. Also there was a root beer, apple and potatoe chips (Lays) brand along the way. No exercise today because Jonny had that stupid appointment. Another stupid appointment tomorrow.

Tuesday

Another nice Tuesday. Jonny exercised at lunch at work. He didn't get to sit with Gabrielle today. Olegar said not to because Gabrielle has a cold. Instead he sat with Sylvestor Stallone. He took a break from Cop Land to star in Jonny's life. As we round out The Net movie the new characters will come from Cop Land for the ABL. Sylvestor is an interesting character. He gets very angry and worked up over his job. He has serenity slogans all over his wall given to him. Sylvestor has worked at ABL for 4 years. Jonny is going to sit with him at 8 on Wednesday for a little while when Sylvestor isn't on the phones. Today Anne Marie Zola, Max Ligosh's daughter was at the house when Jonny got home. Max picked her up after dinner. Jonny read later in the night another page of TC. Only one page left in this week's mezorah. Speaking of skin rashes Angelina got Jonny an appointment for the doctor to look at his rash. This the new PCP. Recall Angelina fired the one in Chelsea so that is good because this one is right near the old job at UM and only a mile and a half from the new one at ABL. Well Jonny is going to read a book or something now. Angelina has set her criteria for a new house, Tappan school district, 1800 square feet, 4 bed rooms and 2 bath rooms. The problem is some of the houses say Ann Arbor public schools instead of Tappan because they don't know any better.

Monday

Today was a nice day at ABL. Jonny applied for a UM job a few minutes ago. This was the 113th one so far. His dog Dexter was a little sick. Possibly after the paarty with the medical students he ate something. It was good for Jonny to do his 25 minute treadmill mile and read alumni magazine. He has two bosses Ricco Ross and Olegar Fedoro. Despite the Italian sounding name Ricco the higher ranking of the two bosses is quite white and from Allen Park. The other boss Olegar is more Indian or something. He was a former student of Jonny's too. Ricco and Olegar want Jonny to work with all 16 people on the L1 team. This includes listening to phone calls and watching them work. Jonny has a horrible rash under his arm and needs to see the doctor about it. A terrible tragedy has happened in VA Tech. Jonny didn't go to that school in 1986 because his parents figured the Jewish population was so small. And then he wouldn't have met Angelina. Oh no and then they would have had a daughter-in-law who they got along with better. Jonny has to make up some more fake names for the other new cow-workers. He listened to the phone calls with Douglas W. Iles. He is the star at ABL. He was the last one hired before Jonny. Douglas was hired roughly 6 months ago and he is Pakistani. Tomorrow from 11:30 to 2:30 he will listen to Gabrielle Wagner's phone calls. She is another L1 team member.

Sunday

Angelina is talking to her father. Jonny snuck in a call to his mother for ten minutes. he went to the drug store. Last night he was up until 1AM loading Shamus. Today it works. Zork is a funner game but it is a text based adventure. Jonny read some of his alumni magazine today. The family friend with the truck came today and they put the treadmill and two sofa chairs into storage. Monday a realtor is looking at the house. Jonny's family's old students were here for five hours. They played monopoly, eat dinner, dessert etc. They played outside and had loads of fun. Jonny took some junk to the cardboard and plastic recycling. Jonny is reading about Apache servers. He read some TC today. More of the mezora chapter. He ate majorly way too much food. Jonny also reorganized the storage locker for about two hours before going there again to put the other stuff in it. He also went to Target to return the slip covers. That was $243 back. Also his muscles were aching yesterday from his workout on his new job.

Saturday

It is after sundown so it is ok for Jonny to post. Hopefully all of you had a nice Passover. the phone is ringing. Angelina is tracking down a slip cover from multipl JC Penny stores. Yep the house sale is kicking into high gear. Not much to tell. There are about ten jobs to apply for for Angelina tonight. Jonny is waiting until next week to apply for UM jobs for himself. A week has passed and he still works for ABL. Ironically enough he took six children to the bowling alley. ABL has a health club and Jonny exercised on the fifth day at his new job. They make him take home his laptop each night. Angelina complains about the new health insurance. Jonny finished that other fiction book he was reading called Worlds Without End. He is now on page 84 of One Kingdom another two book series by Sean Russell. It has been too cold to mow. The lawn mowing season is almost apon us. Jonny was having 80's flashbacks induced by internet searches for old games to play with Lorraine, Jesse and Alberta. To satisfy curiousity there were Zork, and Miner 2049er. Gotta go look up Shamus now. Also just finished reading a couple of pages of the TC getting into the fleshy details lol.

Sunday

Tomorrow Jonny starts his new job at ABL. He already found out the interview he had last week at the U he won't be hired for. Over the weekend he had to fix the M on the laptop. Jesse broke it. This took all day to fix. But he did it. Jonny finished the book by Sean Russell Worlds Without End book one in a two book series. Lorraine picked out another book by the same author. He is up to chapter 3 now of this book called One Kingdom. He called Elizabeth. She is going to Israel on Tuesday as part of a tour. She runs the tour. Jesse talked to her and Lorraine did too. They both helped Jonny to walk the dogs a couple of times this weekend. It has been in the 20's most of the time and cold and snowing. On Friday while Angelina was taking Jesse to pre-school he was home with Alberta and Lorraine so he called Kristina and Wendell. They hadn't yet left for the beach. They own a house in Deleware and the season is just starting. They wanted to meet some maintenance men there as well. Jonny's parents wanted to wish the kids a Hag Samayach. This was the only opportunity while Angelina was out. Last week Jonny watched the movie Cop Land. It was good. They sold a book too. He will take it to the post office at lunch time. They probably will let him out early. The boss called to say as much. Today they went to the Jillette family for lunch. Penn was up from his office for lunch and then back down to do his taxes. Jonny and Angelina left the kids there for an hour and went home and walked the dogs. Jonny read some more TCP/IP. While they were there another boy in Alberta and Bob's class came over. Well time to hit the showers.

Thursday

Today was a nice interview for Jonny at the U. He met with 6 people. Later he met with HR for discussion about his RIF status. That woman presented him with his soiled 2004 and 2005 performance evaluations. Jonny later deposited those in the shredder. Tonight he talked to his parent for 52 minutes. The interview was only 30 minutes. It was for a BA like role. Similar to what Matthew does. Jonny is on page 568 of World Without End. The book is almost finished. He is on page 54 of the prayer book. He is almost finished with this weeks parsha in Torah Commentary. Jonny and Alberta went to the library. Another nap for Jonny. He didn't finish his complete long list of things to do either. Jonny's boss from his new job - no pseudo name yet called. The boss said to come in around 8:30 on the first day. Jonny has 4 more books to try and sell. Still no word from DMU the other interview at the U was about 3 weeks ago. This one today said you will here either way in 2 or 3 weeks. The start date will be delayed because they are moving and the date keeps slipping. Jonny can't believe those soldiers were released from Iran.

Wednesday

The house is nice and quiet. Alberta and her friend, Sam, are playing up-stairs on the computer. Jonny is downstairs working on grading access homework. He set-up an interview for tomorrow. The interview is at UM and they required a writing sample. After several e-mails back-and-forth to Matthew, Jonny now has three design documents he wrote, plus two visio flow-charts. He then sent these to the hiring manager. Lorraine is at school. Angelina just left and took Jesse to his friend's house, Liza. Well it would be helpful if Jonny updated the fake names list it is getting confusing. Matthew told Jonny on the phone that another tech team employee, Walter, resigned. The seders were nice. One last night and one the night before. The first night was at Bill Maul's house. His wife Jennifer Badger and their son William DeMeo. Their daughter Margo Winkler too.
